Abstract Submission 2024

Abstract Categories

Basic Research

Investigates fundamental mechanisms of biology, disease or behavior (in vitro, in silico, animal models).

Translational Research

Connects basic science of disease with human medicine. Models interventions to further understand the basis of a disease or disorder and find ways to treat it. May utilize human or animal tissues.

Clinical Research

Seeks to better understand a disease in humans. Behavioral and observational studies; interventional studies for safety and effectiveness in those with or without disease; and outcomes and health services research.

Systematic Literature Review

A systematic literature review identifies, selects and critically appraises research in order to answer a clearly formulated question.

  • Up to five trainees will be chosen to give an 8-10 minute oral presentation at the Trainee Symposium followed by 5 minutes of discussion.

 

  • Up to twenty applicants will be selected to present a poster of their abstract. Presenters are required to be available to discuss their research with session attendees during the designated poster session.

 

  • Selected applicants must be willing to travel to Seattle to attend the GRAPPA Annual Meeting and Trainee Symposium in its entirety; that is from the afternoon of July 11, through July 13, 2024. Reasonable travel expenses and accommodation will be paid for by GRAPPA.
